Hello. My name is Joel Anthony aka Mo Saladin, and I am a political science student and have been working with the Sabian Earth group since inception. I received my astrological chops from Mrs. Ruth Gerry, who was Marc Edmunds right-hand woman and founder of the Astrological Society of Connecticut. She was a non-pareil and I loved her dearly. She was so close to Marc that she died shortly after him, about a year later in 1981 — he passed on March 5, 1980 — when I was in school in UCB/Berkeley.

For a disclaimer, I did not vote for Trump but Bernie Sanders, but I do admit that the SEN team called the election back in October. We did not publish that report then because it seemed so outlandish, and we were a new group and wondered about our methods. We decided to wait and see.  When Election Night came, and I stayed up for it all – and we were. I knew Bernie would not win – he was a write in – but I was surprised to see our prediction be right. Talk about mixed emotions!

The September Equinox 2016 chart

                         The Regulus Issue

Since that time, there are many things about that Equinox chart that haunt me and the general insistence on Regulus as his ascendant is one of them. Regulus is authoritarian and fixed, it’s a regal star. I have a close friend who has Regulus conjunction to their Sun and they are willful and indomitable — fixed and firm through thick and thin.

I do not see Trump in that fashion at all except towards his loyalty to his family.

Instead, to me, someone studying politics for the past 45 years, I envision Trump as a man who has some outlandish ideas, not partisan to any party, comes out of nowhere and seems to itch for a fight. Perhaps I watched too many Spaghetti Westerns by Sergio Leone when I had my movie theater the Capitol in Middletown, Connecticut.  Can’t say but that’s my impression.

At 350 Main Steet, the old Capitol can just be seen behind the new facade.

Regulus is not out but Algieba is in

With an Ascendant at 20 Leo, the fixed star Al-Gieba comes into play or now it seems called, Shishimai but whose two-degree orbs encompass it.  Al-gieba is the “Mane of the Lion’s Head” according to Richard Hinckley’s Star Lore — that is about 30 minutes off; Denebola was also nearby but through the ecliptic precession is now in Virgo.  It also gives him according to Mr. Vivian Robson, “Strengthens buildings, promotes love, benevolence, and help against enemies.

Regulus is still in, but now it is conjunct to his Mars making him bombastic, and overblown.

This ascendant changes his Sun to 23 Gemini that makes it conjunct the Fixed Star of Phact that assumes according to the Arabians the nature of Mercury-Venus, with a touch of Uranus. This fixed star in a good conjunction gives an appreciation for form and rhythm as well as artistic talents, and am ardent interest in science. Phact near the Sun is found in the cosmograms of the great mathematician Newton and the composer Richard Strauss and gives a touch of genius and mediumship.  My brother, a well-hailed engineer, is born a day born and a year earlier than Trump, also has this degree.

Stars and their Zodiacal Constellations from Richard Tod, master Mariner

I looked at the Virgo 1 ascendant originally because the SEN chart in October had Libra 1 for the SUN in the Twelfth, and the semisextile seemed perfect, but following it through with the French Software Aureas failed as there were no progressions (major dates)  that matched. I threw Virgo 01 out. I guess Libra 1 “A butterfly made perfect with a dart through it” meant that Trump was waiting for his moment after his trial by fire after all.

At the time I thought it was Obama hanging in the wings trying to pull off a coup for Madame Secretary.  Nope.  Alas, so much of what we do, in astrology and politics, is rectification by hindsight; it what makes the game interesting.

I guess Libra 1 “A butterfly made perfect with a dart through it” meant  Trump was waiting for success after his trial by fire after all.  At the time I thought it was Obama hanging in the wings trying to pull off a coup for Madame Secretary.  Nope.  Alas, so much of what we do, in astrology and politics, is rectification by hindsight; it what makes the game interesting.

                                    The Parisian  Aureas Free Trial

I downloaded Aureas as it is the only software that allows you to try it for a full month and then buy it.  It’s the same final price as Halloran by Halloran Software, Kepler by David Cochrane,  and Air by Alphee Lavoie at 300.00; Solar Fire these days is $350.00, so the Aureas price is competitive, and I get a trial.

Using Aureas Progressions, I worked out some general ideas of what I was looking for based Marc Jones requirements of the Ascendant, Part of Fortune and MidHeaven needing to be in sync.  Then I read through some highlights of his life and picked out one important one:  his Aspen Rendevous with Marla Maples the Georgia honey that led to his divorce from Ivana.  That worked and Aureas spat back  19.32 LEO or Zuni Sun Worshippers which is all about the self’s illimitable resources in a situation with the keyword, FIDELITY.

It was perfect as he scores off the charts on PERSONAL FIDELITY using Kepler and their SKILLS report; I have highlighted the best hits.

The titles of the categories are self-explanatory. For example, if your score for category 1 is high, then you have an excellent aptitude for any area that requires mental concentration, attention to technical details, logic, or research.  Your attitude is also influenced by your upbringing, your habits, and lifestyle.

For example, training in mathematics, logic, scientific research, or other areas that require careful reasoning will improve the capability of anyone to analyze and solve problems in a logical way.

By developing and utilizing your strengths in your career and the activities that make up the greater part of your life, and also by improving your weak points to a point of being reasonable and functional, you can improve your chances of living a fulfilling, meaningful, and rewarding life.

A score above 150 is very high.
A score from 125 to 150 is above average.
A score of around 100 (75 to 125) is average.
A score from 50 to 75 is below average.
A score below 50 is very low.

We ran the report twice.  The first number is for 20 Leo.  The second number is for 29 Leo.  When the scores are both high, I have highlighted them in Blue.  When 29 is exceptionally higher, I have highlighted it in Red and when 20 is outrageously higher, I have highlighted in Orange.

  • 25. A sense of duty and obligation. Conscience and guilt: 238/ 118- he says he went into politics because of Romney’s lousy job handling Hurricane Sandy for the New York / New Jersey area.

As to #25, I can understand that.  What politician running for any office lets his opposition define a major issue while he out West talking in used car lots?  Not a competent one if you ask me.  When asked about this, nitwit Romney said, it wasn’t his issue.  Gimme a break that’s just incompetence.  I bet if it had happened in SLC, his “hometown” he would have been there just like he was when that town had trouble with the Olympics and Sir Galahad came riding into town to save it from fiscal collapse —  if you want to be in the game, you have to be all in.

The only major change between a 20 and 29 Leo Ascendant is #25 and I think tips the scale towards twenty.

Rectified Trump

                      Leo 20 Zuni Sun Worshippers

The word Zuni is a corruption of the Spanish Sunifisti used by explorer Antonio de Espajo in the sixteenth century.  The natives call themselves Ashiwi from their territory the Shiwona — meaning that they come from the “flesh.”  They are Pueblo or “cliff” dwellers located in Northwestern New Mexico, around Taos, and Northeastern Arizona along the Rio Grande.  The Pueblo culture was ancestral and agricultural supplemented by the hunting of deer and antelope for meat but their early history is basically unknown.¹

Like the neighboring Inca, many of the MesoAmerican beliefs centered around complex ceremonies, animistic beliefs, magic, nature and sun worship, hence Miss Elsie Wheeler envisioned for 20 Leo the image of Zuni Sun Worshippers.

Marc Jones writes that suggests “the higher and natural forces from which the native receives his life and strength, buttresses him in everyday rituals through the preservation of older values.”  He suggests that “the higher natural forces from which the native receives his life and strength, buttresses him in everyday rituals through the preservation of older values.”

in the latest rendition of the Lone Ranger, he is unmasked.

Part of Fortune 18 Aquarius

Next up is whether the Part of Fortune works according to Marc Jones.  With the Ascendant as 20 Leo, Trump’s PoF is a “man unmasked!” Does it work?  Yes.  It is about the world being his laboratory, his playpen and him wanting to be part of  it all.

It suggests that this is a man that does not know his boundaries but instead is dedicated to his own self-expression of the American ethic — not a canned party line, but his own.  I think of another New York President when I read that: TDR.

      Bowling Green for Trump

Bowling Green in Manhattan is where Peter Minuet bought the island from the Natives for $24.00 in various tender.  For Trump that shows up in his Bowl Temperament Type with  Line of Vitality opposition, and thus his Focal Determinator is Positive Mutable, he has no T-Square so there is nothing to render it negative.

Bowling Green down at the Battery c. 1826

Marc Jones considered the Common Houses to be those where the person shines best in person to person relationships.  A positive mutable orientation in life highlights Trump’s naturalness with his fellows and his bad press from everyone outside of them (see the write up on Chas. Lindbergh in Marc’s Essentials for more).²

The Bowl Temperament Type occurs when the ten planets lie in half of the circle and is reinforced when any two of them are in opposition and found on one side of the bowl.  This latter refinement, called a fan handle focal determinator, shows up with the Sun and Uranus in the Tenth House of chart’s new rectified chart.  This setup — the Sun and Uranus conjunct at 23 and 18 Gemini — makes this intense conjunction more important than other planets in his chart, and him a rather a wild card in his professional life.

So far so good.  The Virgo 1 Head I so wanted, shows up at 18 Gemini as the head of health dissolves into the Head of Mentality with the native using his Uranian his ability to touch the lives of all men in the imagination.  I always read the opposite symbol for further clarification and get a full flavor of its potential in the three most important degrees of any chart — and its opposite is Sagittarius 18,   an Easter sunrise service with the keyword Rebirth, rather playing into his motto, Making American Great…Again.

The Sun at 23 Gemini is Three fledglings in a nest high in a tree, perhaps this is him, Melania and Barron in the White House?  The Keyword is Elevation and it depicts when the soul is exalted to the point of complete freedom.  The opposite is 23 Aquarius “Immigrants entering,” and regrouping of his roots in a radical reorientation.  See our article on his Mother for more. and Gene’s article on Virgo 1 for a comparison.  Of course, Melania is an immigrant, the second First Lady, to be so, and Trump made waves right out of the inauguration with his ban on immigrants not directly related to citizens or holding a Green Card for work, America’s open immigration policy seems to be at a standstill, for now.

Thanks for keeping an open mind and following Sabian Earth.  We have a lot of venues now to discuss this and the other great posts on the site — here on WordPress of course and our page on Facebook.

Talk to you soon.
